Fixing Traffic Armageddon
Traffic congestion is the top issue for most residents of Vaughan. It’s a big problem with no simple solution. Victor proposes to build new city road systems and enhance local transit networks that reduces traffic congestion on our roads.
The Region seems to be all in on the YRT/Viva basket. New developments are approved, assuming many people will rely on public transit. Ward 3 needs revised transit routes to meet the needs of our recently built communities.
Accessible Road Systems
The Region plans to widen many regional roads to accommodate dedicated HOV/Transit lanes at significantly high costs. Road widening principally for HOV use will increase the traffic congestion and not actually solve the problem. Victor believes in creating a commercial ring-road/feeder street system that will help reduce east west and north south traffic across Ward 3 and Vaughan overall.
